PASTOR ROB DEVERELL

Pastor Rob Deverell was born in Wilmington, Delaware, but has spent most of his youth in South Jersey. Growing up in New Jersey in a Christian home, he attended several Christian schools but ended up graduating from Solid Rock Christian School in Kirkwood. During his high school years, he was hit with the reality that he, despite being in church his entire life, was not saved. He did not know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Rob's youth pastor was able to lead him to the Lord, and shortly thereafter Rob was called to preach.

Later his senior year, he went off to Bible college and graduated with his degree in preaching. Following the Lord's call to serve teenagers, he went to Hawaii and served for 16 years in a Baptist church as youth pastor and assistant pastor. While serving in Hawaii, Rob was ordained and began praying for God's leading. Rob soon felt the burden to pastor himself. He felt the Lord calling him back to New Jersey to serve where he grew up.

 

Rob, Anna, and their three children, packed their belongings and moved summer of 2023. They have now been in Medford for three years, and we are seeing so many exciting things happen here at the church. Some of our favorite special days at the church are Aloha Sunday in July, Friend and Family Day, I Love My Church Sunday, Vision Sunday, VBS Sunday, First Responders Sunday in October, Thanksgiving Praise Service, and our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight service. We also have enjoyed opening our church doors to the Dicken's Festival and having a booth on Main Street where we share the Gospel and invite our community to our services.

 

Pastor Rob preaches every week, then teaches our Wednesday evening Bible study. He has initiated a discipleship program at our church, where we one on one help a new believer grow in their faith after salvation. We have seen many baptisms and new members join the church these past three years, and we look forward to many more coming to know our Savior, Jesus Christ through the preaching in our church, the outreach programs, and the revival in the hearts of believers young and old.  ​​
